Web Seminars

The new Cook Ross Web Seminar series gives healthcare providers and administrators practical tools for culturally competent patient care. Our 2.0 contact hour CEU/CME eligible events allow healthcare professionals to learn the nuts and bolts of critical topics in cultural competence, so they can understand and apply them personally and professionally within their work environments, with a goal to improve health outcomes.

A Toolkit in a Computer, Instead of a Box

Another exciting web-based product we've rolled out is The Diversity ToolkitT . The Toolkit evolved through years of clients completing our diversity programs and wanting to go out and do "the right thing," but sometimes not knowing what that "right thing" is. Like CultureVisionT , the Toolkit is user-friendly. It gives users (both management and non-management) instant access to guidance for handling a wide variety of situations that can come up in a diverse workplace. The Diversity ToolkitT includes more than 100 distinct Tools, including articles, exercises, surveys, questions, and other resources materials, and we are developing more all the time. Several thousand people have already begun using The Diversity ToolkitT online, including the entire staff of NPR.

Finding More Ways to Keep Busy

And busy we've been! In addition to all of these projects, we have been working with a roster of exciting clients, including: two large national law firms, RTKL (an international architecture firm), and an association of city managers. We have created a breakthrough leadership program for the Inova Healthcare System, a training program for thousands of leaders in a large pharmaceutical company, and another training program for thousands of employees at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.

Our clients, our work, and the opportunities ahead continue to inspire us. As always we feel blessed to be doing what we love while making such a positive contribution to our clients' organizational health and our community's well-being. We look forward to what lies ahead.
